Will the English batsmen ever realise that they are all very bad at playing the sweep shot. Strauss was absolutely plumb there, poor decision.

One more in a list of poor decisions by these umpires. I fail to see why these two are in the elite panel of umpires. Surely there must be two more competent umpires out there.

Rode his luck, but nice to see Tres back in the runs. Hope he can push on to three figures.

Pitch still behaving itself pretty much, although a bit of turn out of the rough for Kaneria. Looks to be a draw short of a collapse by either side.

Akmal having an absolute mare, poor lad. On the replay I don't actually think Tres edged the simple one he shelled, but that's no excuse for a keeper.

Even watching it on the tele at normal speed I thought it plum, and called out to my Rotty 'thats out', he looked at me, and I think gave me a look of agreement. Or otherwise was trying to say 'stop waking me up!'

I thought it was out, but in slight mitigation for Doctrove I don't think he could be absolutely 100% sure it hit Strauss in line.

This is the sort of pitch that makes you see the point of view of someone who claims cricket is boring, might as well go and play on the M25.

Well said.

Watching Younis and Yousef batting was like watching paint dry especially as Yousef in my opinion is very dull to watch at the best of times.

yeah, but he said that lately Kaneria has not been a Test class bowler. Seems as what you posted was over a year old - well people are allowed to change their opinions aren't they? That's why they are opinions, and not facts.

Danish has been going thru a lean spell lately, but you have to take your hat off to the googly that did for KP. Set him up with two wide, but big turning leg-breaks before & then bowled him through the gate. Great work. Class & form & all that.

& no is the answer. Strauss won't go past 128.
