I think Bell has just become only the 10th Englishmen to have scored a century in 3 consecutive Test Matches:

  • Hobbs (twice)
  • Sutcliffe
  • Hammond (twice)
  • Compton
  • Barrington
  • Boycott
  • Gooch
  • Lamb
  • Broad
  • Bell
To me, this means that when Flintoff is fit, he should bat at 7 (drop Mahmood). For people that support the 5-bowler option, would you really do the only other option of dropping Trescothick or Collingwood?

440 up, outside chance of 500?

Very good chance, even with Bell gone. 472-8 with Mahmood and Harmison both playing very well. Nazir has just gone for 19 in an over.

I would bat Flintoff at 7 and work on getting more bowling out of Collingwood and Pietersen.

Haha I love tailenders batting. Pretty much the only time I've supported England this series.

Yeah I thought Harmison was plumb in front but turned out to be a pretty excellent decision, just going over. Harmison for a fifty? Or will he just get bored and try and invent some new shot whilst getting out.

As long as GBH doesn't try that horrible horrible reverse sweep thing.

That's not far from the ugliest thing in cricket. :p
