I have no problem with accusing (and punishing) them if there is evidence. Not what that racist Hair did, without any evidence and without accusing a specific person.

Rikki Clarke is a poor poor man, this better be his last game for England.

Also i hope Shoaib's little action doesn't cause any major controversey, I aint able with none of that crap anymore.

Hair isn't a Racist, he's just a bloke that has too much backbone for some people. If only more figures of authority had the same courage that he did we would all be better off. The complaint that he is a racist, just occurs because the Pakistani team has a bad history of cheating, to which nobody can argue against, he is just good enough to realise it.

England are going to get slaughtered on the West Indian tracks if they bat like this. Aside from Trescothick and Pietersen, and to a certain extent Strauss, none of the batsmen seem to offer us anything. You only want one, or maximum two, nurdlers in the middle-order, and you definitely don't want them batting together for a long period like Dalrymple and Collingwood here. How many pushers are in the Australia, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka middle-orders: zero.
A bit harsh i feel, a full strenght England batting line-up during if everyone is fit would be Trescothick, Bell, Strauss, KP, Freddie, Collingwood, Dalrymple, Read. The only real nurdler there are Bell & Dalrymple with the rest more than capable of smoking it.

If you're going to post in purple, at least increase the size so everyone can read. And secondly, the complaint that he is a racist occurs because of repeated behavior involving lots of south asian teams, and not one incident. If everyone was like Hair, South Africa would still be out of cricket.

Me neither, i'm not bothered really, i love watching Shoaib bowl reverse swinging yorkers to English batsman, i think it teaches us that we should pick players that acctualy have some modicum of ability.

You've no need to bring it in every single time in such an emotive fashion though.

We might actually win this. :-O

I'd still make it 60/40 to Pakistan, but really, bowling first in an English day/nighter in September is plain daft. There'll be dew to help swing & chasing under lights is always harder.

Decent little cameo from Read, he looks exactly the sort of batter we want coming in to biff a few down the order. Good ball from Razzaq to clean up Rikki for a golden blob as well, nearly 85mph, which is appreciably quicker than his stock delivery.

I really dont see Englands atack being good enough to win this one even in floodlight conditions. Think Lewis will be pretty decent at the rose bowl this pitch sounds as if its pretty good though.

I don't see how that was a very good delivery, decent but it was horribly horribly played by one of England's worst ever one day players.

Another crap shot from Pakistan in the air. What are they trying to do? So poor fielding and now this.

Decent enough IMHO. Beat Rikki for pace, which makes me wonder why Razzaq doesn't bend his back more often.

I wouldn't be surprised if Inzi probably knew that putting us in wasn't the best thing to do in terms of winning the match, but in terms of future preparation for both the batsmen and the bowlers he might consider it the right choice regardless of the result.

fair comment made here by Athers and Lloyd on Lewis. Yes he may not be the fastest, yes he is seemingly is a bowler who depends a lot on seam-movement & mayb if England take him to places like the India, Australia, West Indies he may stuggle.

But based on the last two games with the ball he does look like a bowler who can extract some bounce & is fairly accurate, plus his batting looks fairly capable.
