I don't know what you're trying to prove with your link, but the link Fusion gave was completely irrelevant and separate from this debate. So no, I don't think Scaly is suffering from delusional order, and to be honest I think you're completely out of order putting that up .
Err what? I'm out of order for putting that up?
I posted it because Scaly stated "What a completely irrelevant quote, the standard of your debate keeps getting worse - incredible." and I think that is delusional thinking. Thus, as a joke I posted what I did.
Can't take a simple joke, or what?
Really, I'm finding it quite incredible that you've singled me out for criticism when there are numerous people posting things that could be construed as quite offensive, things which aren't said in a joking manner either. In fact, you could probably find numerous postings by Scaly himself where he calls others all manner of names if he disagrees with them. Why suddenly jump on me?

Okay, I did overreact - but there is quite clearly a witch hunt going on against Scaly and to be honest it's pretty dull

To be honest, I haven't seen a 'witch hunt' against Scaly, certainly not like there have been at other members in the past. It seems to me that it's more like he doesn't get himself on the right side of many people because of his manner of posting, and people react to that.

If you make inflammatory comments, then people will react with emotion. I wouldn't say that its a witch hunt. The same thing holds true for some of the posters on the other side of the issue.

Well I only take down people a peg or two when they deserve it, I don't do it with those who don't try and be a smart alec such as adam, SJS, slow love and so on. marc, langeveldt and most others are fair game... not much point being nice and agreeing with everything really, would just bore everyone witless - I'm sure there are lots of dating/friendship boards out there where you can get that.

Personally I couldn't give a toss what people say unless they start throwing stuff like 'racist' about, that's basically on the same wavelength as calling someone a rapist - just not as bad, can't joke about stuff like that.

Scaly, but you can't just dismiss those claims against Hair out of hand. Calling him racist is not 'throwing' the term around.

Michael Holding, the former West Indies fast bowler, lent his support to Inzamam-ul-Haq, saying that Darrell Hair was "insensitive" to have penalised Pakistan for ball-tampering.

"I have absolute and all sympathy with [Pakistan captain] Inzamam-ul Haq. If you label someone a cheat, please arrive with the evidence," Holding wrote in India Today, a leading weekly news magazine. Holding felt that most umpires would have said something to the fielding captain and given the offending team a warning of some kind. "Then if the tampering continued, they would have been totally justified in taking action.

"There is a double standard at work in cricket and this episode has only highlighted it. When England used reverse-swing to beat the Australians in the 2005 Ashes, everyone said it was great skill. When Pakistan does it, the opposite happens, no one thinks it is great skill. Everyone associates it with skullduggery.

"When bombs go off in Karachi and Colombo everyone wants to go home. When bombs go off in London, no one says anything. That is first-world hypocrisy and we have to live with it."

Holding said that seeing the cricketing law as the absolute and final truth was pointless. Every law, he wrote, has room for flexibility. "I read a prime example recently in the British press. It said that by law, you can be fined for parking within the yellow lines in England. If you do that to run into a chemist to buy emergency medicines, a sensible policeman would more than likely tell you about the law but it's unlikely a ticket would be forthcoming."

The executive board of the ICC is scheduled to meet on September 2 in Dubai to discuss the ball-tampering issue further. Inzamam's disciplinary hearing for Pakistan's actions of ball-tampering and bringing the game into disrepute in the fourth Test against England at The Oval will take place around the end of September.

Yes it is, those calling Hair a racist haven't a leg to stand on. It is a serious accusation, it's far worse than ball tampering for which the two umpires believed they had strong evidence.

People who call Hair a racist are contradicting themselves if they complain about the umpires accusations and penalties in the first place.

Well back to the cricket, and we nearly had a ClarkeQuake at Bristol today, was hoping he'd get in the final eleven..

You reckon if England picked 13 players they'd still lose to Pakistan in a one day match?

The term racist does not relate to only this incident - this is just the latest (and hopefully final) incident in a long and storied career with subcontinent teams.

England has more Twenty20 experience in England which would explain them being favourites for me. Four Trescothic.

And now a very stupid slower delivery down the leg side. Hussain repeats what Brumby said - trescothic playing himself into form.
