in the end we know what Hales can do, Roy and Bairstow are the partnership for the time-being, let's see if Salt and Jacks can put themselves in the frame for the future, but having Duckett Lawrence, Vince and Crawley playing ahead of Hain is ridiculous, farcical even.
Simpson is fine, he's been involved for a while and an huge amount of 'keepers are missing out, Buttler, Billings, Foakes, Bairstow, probably others.

I posted something similar in another thread and had couple of people pouncing on it. Morgan has screwed Hales's career just like how Cook and Strauss screwed Pietersen's.

We disagreed, didn't pounce. Hales and Kp screwed their own careers, without Cook it would have been ended earlier, so that's a particularly silly accusation. Interestingly enough the closest friend to the guy who set up the genius KP twitter account was actually Alex Hales.....

Hales failed two drug tests not one, so it wasn't just the 1 mistake. Plus his part in the Stokes brawl. Plus likely other stuff that isn't out in public.
Not saying he should be in or out of the squad but please lets not make Hales the victim here (and Morgan the villain)
Stokes has done a lot of **** over his career too but they've brought him back into the team, so it's not like there isn't any chance of rehabilitation for troubled individuals.
Captain/coachs/selectors are always going to have to make value judgements on players based on a lot of stuff, not all of which is on field performance, and not all of which we as fans are privy to.
