*Official* Pakistan in England 2020

Rizwan and a couple of lower order bats hanging around long enough can easily push Pakistan to a competitive score, given that Azam hits lots of boundaries and scores fast without taking too many risks.
He'll also be prone to getting out early in the day. Let's see.

If Anderson and Broad do the standard inexplicably pitch it short routine for a couple of sessions, Babar could get Pakistan in a decent position. If not, it's all in the hands of the English fielders..

Anderson keeps coming back when written off, even though it is very much in "made for Anderson" conditions. Still mighty impressive given his age and form going into this game.
Can someone please explain this "poor form" Jimmy is supposedly in? He had one quiet test at OT and everyone (not you HB, but you're pouring fuel on this myth with that comment) and all of a sudden he's struggling?

Pakistan supporters should be pretty happy to be in this position, on balance of play yesterdayshouldn't be if England weren't so cack-handed and they hadn't had an huge dose of luck they could be all-out.

As it is our batting line-up is rubbish, worse top 6 than the one talked about as "worst ever" in the first test of the summer arguably, with Stokes out and Root in shite form, at least thankfully he'll bat 4. As said before, if Pakistan can work it anywhere close to 200, they can win this, going to be over-cast for the rest of the Test and they should be lethal with the ball.

We are, of course faves, but wouldn't put money on it myself.

Whatever it takes!!!
A lot depends on how well they start, Pak. If this pair can hang around a while, they will score runs and be positive and they could well reach 200 before England realize what hit them. Sorta how Buttler and Woakes got the first 50-60 of their partnership.

In previous years against these two batting attacks, in these conditions he would have been averaging about 15, as broad is. It could be a blip, but even he's admitting he's not up to his normal standard, take another 10 in this match (which he easily could) and it will all be forgotten though.

When people are older, and you have bad form, it is always the thing to say you are finished, rather than just going through a blip, Gary Sobers was particularly bitter about this at the end of his career.

In the end you get trolling idiots like Vaughan say "I never thought I'd say this but Jimmy looks old", what you racist cunty imbecile did you think he'd still be running in it 70 looking fresh as a daisy, gawd I hate that man, won't listen to TMS because of him.

It's certainly reasonable to have the discussion about a 38 year old FM bowler. The fact that similar comments when he was 34 turned out to be wrong isn't really relevant. I'm happy enough that he's playing in this test and, if still able after 4 back-to-backs, in the next test too. Your first point is spot on.
