i agree completely! not an all-rounder by any means, but a very good lower-order fellow. great team player.

That's it..Aus out for 379, lead of 38.

McGrath LBW to Kaneria..very plumb. Happened the ball after Dizzy got his 50.

I think Pakistan will be happy to settle for a draw here

Little early to be looking for that. Aus still have to bat last, have only a small 1st innings lead and the Aus top order hasn't exactly excelled against the pace of Ahktar.

Aus is ahead, but it's a long way from over.

Pakistan need a piece of mind. They need to drop Imran Farhat and add Taufeeq Umer who's averaging 42 with 4 centuries....and I don't know if dropping Kamran Akmal and letting Younis Khan to do wicket-keeping would be a good idea because he's done it once or twice and wasn't bad. This will just allow them to play with one more batsman or a bowler( maybe Afridi can replace Kamran Akmal)

Very poor decision to get rid of Youhana. I knew as soon as I saw it that it was off the pad.

Pakistan deserves to be beaten , infact beaten badly by Australia. It has been a regula feature of Aussie-Pak series. Atleast in one test match Pakistan gets a real good chance to beat Australia but they blow up the chance and end up with egg flat on their faces :p .

Pakistan need to understand that test cricket is a game of specialist players and allrounders simply can't replace them (exception being genuine AR which are proven performer with both bat and ball). in this match Pakistan actually went with just 5 regular batters and just three regular bowler!! How can one expect to bowl out Australia twice in a match with just three bowlers???? Razzak is not much of a bowler and Pakistan should have realised that in the Perth test match, and when they knew that Malik can't bowl then they should have gone in the match with another bowler.

Unfortunately for Pakisan, they are stuck with a coach that doesn't understand the importance of specialist players1
