cricinfo commentator is annoying me with his write ups. Moaning about England blocking, in a test match he is being paid to watch.

What chance is there that by then we'd have a decent enough lead to even put pressure on?

Knowing our middle order they will lose 3 wickets for 30 with Buttler and Stokes both getting ducks and we will still be fighting to save the match.

Pitch is dead sure. But that matters little in those second inning choke jobs that happen to everyone at some point. It'll be a weird position for Pakistan to be in if they're batting say with a 50 run lead with a day and a half left. Teams get confused in those situations as to what the approach should be.

You don't necessarily even need a big lead to confuse a team batting aimlessly in their second innings.

Missed most of the cricket today unfortunately. Looks like England are playing the Pakistan game here.. Zulfi is keeping it tight but Pakistan is missing a threatening spinner.

This is looking like the South Africa 2010 series.

England is almost my second team, so a part of me is not that upset with the proceedings.. and as a Bell fan, I kind of want him to get a score here and the match can end in a draw

and then Yasir can come back and win 2-0 :D

This really is pretty turgid stuff, but Sri Lanka had virtually same first day yesterday as we have had 90 overs in this innings. Just doing the job and keeping us in with a chance of a draw.
