On Cricinfo they're saying England have bowled 23 no-balls (ones that have actually been called anyway) in 2015, of which 6 would have been wickets.

England has 3 missed chances and we haven't even completed 2 sessions. This is what's going to hurt them in this match.

There was a spell in the Ashes where Broad bowled a 6 over spell with about 4 legitimate deliveries in it. I'm sure he took a wicket from one of those legal balls though

As I said with Hafeez, whether he is batting on 98 or 08, it makes absolutely no difference...he can get himself out anytime.

Someone may have already replied with this, but that doesn't account for the fact umpires are now so lax with calling them, surely? As in we've actually overstepped more than that but you are now more likely to be called when it's a wicket.

Well yes it also illustrates that. Given the strike rate for England's seamers would be nearer one wicket per 70 balls this year then it suggests there have been hundreds of no-balls that haven't been called.

So what do we reckon?

Azhar to open next test and Malik at three or other way about?

Most of us have wanted Azhar to open for a while now anyhow.

Don't rate Malik, much but I'd back him to score more runs than Masood in this series.
