Was a bit nervy for Abbas but he's showed his worth there. 4 overs for rickety-split. don't tell me a solid swinging medium pacer isn't useful in test cricket. **** you Pakistan selectors

Meant before he got out. Was caught on the crease. Bat outside the crease and you should negate the lbw.
Yeah that has always been the play against him. He's still hard to score off if you negate the swing but that's not a concern chasing this total. Shakeel managed to do it successfully against Paterson earlier so Stubbs should've done it too.

It's why we can't get ahead of ourselves. This batting group is such a WIP.

Pakistani opening bowlers have swung the ball. Ours haven't.

Would say our best swing bowlers are Nandre Burger & Beyers Swanepoel.

Been an enjoyable Test. Honestly Pakistan have done more to gift SA the advantage than SA really earning it. There were more runs out there in both Pakistani innings IMHO. Big day for the batters tomorrow!

Agreed. I’m becoming more concerned about de Zorzi tbh. Teams seem to have picked up that he falls over when playing on the leg side and I don’t think it will get easier for him moving forward. That was a tough half hour though. Fading light and two good bowlers with a hard new ball. Markram did well.

Yup, TdZ is very loose for a test opener. Susceptible to falling to both the outside edge dismissal as well as past the inside edge.

Rickelton's problems are different. Tends to be compact but when the ball is outside his eyeline and with no feet movement and throwing those hands he will get out nicking off to most decent test quicks.
