wesser is rubbish, not in the class of the other guys, bowen is a dynamic player, i dont see him as an 80 minute fullback, u start him there, then bring him in closer as the game wares on, hes a league version of a rover i feel....

Read my post Simon. I said i don't rate either Wesser or Bowen, but for International competition, you may aswell have them there, not like they're going to play anyway. No need to rush Hunt, he's only 17, he has plenty of time.

What about Hodgson...

This guy was close to the best fullback all year in a side which didn't make the semis...

Hodgson was great around origin time, but hes performances fell away towards the end of the year, compared to the previous 2 years he had a blinder though!

And when he comes back next season drained & weary, what then? You'll want him dropped from the Broncos side, his career goes down the tubes.

You said it yourself, Meyers hasn't been the same since he played for Australia, Bennett is just looking out for the Broncos, I'm sure if there was any doubt about Australia losing any of these tri-series matches then Hunt would be picked. It will be a Sunday stroll for Australia, Wesser, Mini & Bowen will do.

wesser wont be close to touring anyway, Mini and bowen will go, slater if hes fit.

anyone got any tips for a bolter for the tour?
surely a couple of cowboys have to go, i think Shane Tronc wll be on the plane, Matt Sing, Josh Hannay and Paul Bowman could also get called up...

wesser just went on a try scoring rampage last season, that's the only reason why he is rated so highly imo...

bowen would be a top repersentative player imo.

for the weekend then

Roosters; I can't see the Cowboys lifting the same way as they did on Saturday night. It might happen, but I doubt it. The Roosters wont get tired like the Broncos did, and I just wonder how much last week took out of the Cowboys. The Roosters are fresh, while Cowboys imo are going to fine it tough to play out the full 80 minutes...

Bulldogs; Look in top shape. Panthers aren't the Premiership winning side they were 12 months ago. Bulldogs will win comfortably

cant see the cowboys getting over the roosters

but the other game should be a better contest, Bulldogs should get through, they usually fire up for ages after an off week (cowboys), but im not so sure they will at the moment, esp with the likley sight of Anasta on the sideline

Rooster over the cowboys (unfortunatley) Roosters have to much class and the cowboys dropped alot of ball last week, and can't afford to do that against the Roosters...

Penrith over the Bulldogs - This is a game that could go either way, im tipping Penrith cause i don't want the bulldogs in the GF....

on this weeks games, roosters will win, but only just, a late try will get them over the line, i think penrith are going to go back to back this year and wil easily beat the bulldogs....

for mine, the panthers have some top players who can match the bulldogs. i certainly think gower and campbell are a better halfs combination...the fowards have me concerned. clinton and o'meley are evenly matched. with price and lang you have two very contrasting styles, both of which are equally effective. in the second row ryan and gulavoa (spl?) are feely even as are puletua and mason. but i'd much rather have priddis to that fat guy, whose name escapes me, who plays for the bulldogs. the locking position pits waterhouse against grimaldi (i think) and i'd much rather have waterhouse. all in all a tight match here. i might go panthers...but i still need time to think

but i'd much rather have priddis to that fat guy
Perry?

It's not always best to match up man to man. IMO the Bulldogs forward pack as a whole are in better form and if the going gets tough, they have the ablility to grind there way back into the game. For me both teams can score points at will, so the key will be defence, end that's where the Bulldogs have to wood over the Panthers.

Just heard a news bulletin. NRL player returned a drug test with traces of cocaine.

Placing bets now.

Big Willie is the favourite.

Somehow the NRL will find a way to cover this one up and the player will continue to get $300000 a year and escape jail time.
