HAHAHAHA Newcastle...

Well im on the broncos from here on in... Only cause i would like to see Webby go out a winner... I cannot stand the dragons(every year they are gonna win it and never do, so lets keep it like that)... I think a Dragons-Broncos GF is a moral... I have no doubt that both the Dogs and Melbourne will be flat early in there games next week after the week off and they cannot afford to do that against the opposition they are up against as they could be down by 20 very early...

On another point, how good was Morris on Friday night...

Geez considering the Aussies had no recognised wingers at the start of the season all of a sudden we have quite a few...

I think Morris could well be playing himself into a aussie jumper..

Not quite.

I believe Melbourne had an interclub game which was reffed by Jason Robinson, I don't know about Canterbury.

If Gasnier passed the ball more.

In fact you could some up the St George backline of Gasnier and Cooper and Gasnier and Cooper and Gansier and Cooper.
 Gold!!!!

I highly doubt it... even if the selected did shock us all and go for specialist wingers Jarred Hayne would be streets ahead of Morris given that he's been in fantastic form ALL year! But it's highly unlikely either will get a sniff at the 17 with Gasnier, Cooper, Inglis, Hodges, Tate, Mini (if he's fit), Hunt, Stewart & King floating around!

Broncos simply awesome, im very confident we can make the grand final, dragons deserve to be favourites for the comp but really all four teams left have real claims to win this comp, its been a long time since you could say the top 4 teams (not where they finished) were the last 4...

i doubt we'll see a specialist winger in the 23 man squad, King, Tate, Cooper, Inglis, Hodges and maybe Hunt will be able to cover the flanks...

I disagree, i think we may see a very different Aussie side this year... I think the side could be dominated by younger guys especially considering the tried and tested failed to do the job last time round..

i think we'll see most of the guys from the Anzac test retained, not to mention the fact that quite a lot of the team already came from the four teams that are still left in the competition, from these teams i think we'll see these players in the squad:
Melbourne: Greg Inglis, Ryan Hoffman, Cameron Smith and Matt King
Brisbane: Darren Lockyer, Shaun Berrigan, Petero Civoniceva, Justin Hodges and Sam Thaiday
Dragons: Matt Cooper, Mark Gasnier and Luke Bailey
Bulldogs: Willie Mason, Mark O'Meley and Andrew Ryan

thats already 15 potentially of a 23 man squad, add in some others from them teams that have a chance like Brent Tate, Karmichael Hunt, Nate Myles, Cooper Cronk, Billy Slater, Dallas Johnson, Ben Hornby and Ben Creagh. Really the star players in the big teams are in form i cant see there being room for any shocks in the squad.

The biggest question for the Aust. Squad will be who's going to play Half & Hooker ??

Prince & Farah put a strong case fowards due to their partnership at the Tigers (despite the fact that the tiges where ********* this year)

Thurston had a great 1st half of the season, and has done nothing much since (Injury didn't help), and really, he's a better 5/8 than he is Half.

Cooper Cronk (spelling?) is in with a shot, he's been fabulous for melbourne, and his partnership with smith could win them the spot.

It'll be a cracker of a team all the same!!!

Agreed! But there are a hell of a lot of people who think Robbie Farah is the ducks nuts!! I sure hope smith gets it though, he's been playing like a demon this year!

If Cameron Smith doesn't play for Australia in the Tri-Nations then he never will.
Smith will get the job, Farah will be in the squad but smith will be #1

Another thing....how tough is Darren Lockyer!

The guy gets absolutely pummelled, and marked by about five blokes, every week.

But he always rises to his feet and gets on with it.

Not to mention his NRL finals record against Johns - 1-0 (50-6, for and against).
