they have signed finch to play 5/8...
even though todays telegraph said Smith would consider leaving if Finch was signed i cant see Parramatta releasing him...
Smith comes off contract in 2008, i wouldn't be surprised if some club to sign him for two season time before the end of the season.

Got to say Copper Cronk is a very under rated player...

define under rated?
people always say this about Steve Bell, but how many times do you have to be called under rated until you are "rated" as such...
Cronk is a decent halfback and hes getting by because he has a good football brain, i dont think he'll ever be rep material though...

Well apart from having Thurston, and Prince in front of him, and if Smith gets his head together and playing like he did in 2005 which got him the Rookie of the Year, then Cronk's chances will be threadbere at the least.

Who is the favourite for the Dally M award now?

Just been reading the report of the Dogs/Chooks game. Sounds like Ade Morley had a (what the papers like to call) moment of madness. If it's as bad as it sounds with his prior it could well be his last NRL appearance.

It was bad. The commentators were stunned for the next five minutes due to the sheer randomness and stupidity of what he did.

he has played his last nrl game, i presume he'll miss a large proportion of next years SL too. compare that to Greg Bird's against Souths a couple of years ago when he got 12 weeks, given Morley's record he would be lucky to escape with under 20 weeks...

Cameron Smith and Darren Lockyer would be front runners for the Dally M... Smith was winning when it went behind closed doors and Lockyer wasnt far behind and has had some great performances since that...

It'll be Smith, surely. By the way, I am so f*cking pleased with the Cowboys performance last night. *thumps chest*

I haven't seen it yet. Is it on par with the Danny Williams low act?

The Raiders have arrived, they'll make the 8 and who knows how far they can go, an absolute top notch display today Dragons simply had no answers to pretty much everything canberra threw at them...

By each team's standards, Dragons played very poorly and Canberra played awesome. Hopefully we can bounce back, but to be honest I see the Dragons going on a bit of a slide.

The thing that might save Morley a bit compared to Williams is the point of contact. Didn't hit him full on the melon.

Williams record wasnt as bad as Morley's is, i honestly dont think he'll get away with less than 18 weeks...

Dragons didnt play all that badly, Barrett was awful and i think he was a hinderance to Mat Head in many ways... for a start i think Head only had 5 kicks in general play and this isnt enough cause he's their best kicker...

It's Head's fault, if he wants the ball he'll get it. He just went missing today, might be because of that hamstring strain.

Also, we did play poorly. Dropped ball all over the place, missed tackles galore, Canberra got a million offloads.

If they played the final series down in Canberra, they'd just about be favourites for the Comp!
