Really?? I've heard nothing but good things about him.... Wasnt he ref of the year last year?? He cant be as bad as Smith.. I think we'll take him back anyday...

Apparently Smith is on a $120,000 a year contract with the NRL and it stipulates that he CANNOT be dropped to Reggies... If this is the case the NRL needs a good smack over the chops to wake themselves up..

Why? Burpey admitted to me on msn that Gasnier's nowhere near as effective at 5/8. Why compromise a strength when you have Lyon, who's played 5/8 for St Helens once or twice with some reasonable success.
TBF if NSW are suddenly gonna call up a Super Leaguer, why not just stick with Barrett who actually still does play in the NRL at the moment?!

I think he may've made himself unavailable, but that was before the possibility of picking Lyon surfaced. If he'd known he was still in the running for Origin he possibly wouldn't have.

I believe that by your quoting of me, you're insinuating that I believe Lyon should be picked, which I do, but I made those comments in responce to Tharmi saying Gasnier should play 5/8 over Lyon.

Carry on.

maybe selectors gave Sharks officials a call and they said he would be out, thats what happened with Bailey for the test match, they didnt even bother to name him...

in all honesty though Dykes has been good for 3 weeks, im not sure it can guarantee you a rep jersey...
It worked for Karmichael.

Tragic Passing of Matt Brown
Written by Wests Football Club
Sunday, 07 May 2006
Western Suburbs is in mourning for the loss of Magpies Jersey Flegg player Matt Brown. Matt died tragically as the result of an accident on Friday evening. Matt was returning to his home in Harden in country NSW at the time of the accident.

Everyone at Western Suburbs' thoughts are with the Brown family and Matt's friends in this time of grief.

Wests are making arrangements to ensure the club is appropriately represented at Matt's funeral. Counselling and travel assistance will be offered to Matt's team mates to allow them to attend the funeral and deal with the loss of their team mate. More details will be published when they become available.

I never actually said that Gasnier was a better 5/8, just that he has more chance of playing 5/8 then Lyon...

How stupid is Michael Crocker??

The guy has come out and claimed that he has been victimised because he is a QLD'er...

Is he serious? He almost broke a guys neck... That tackle was downright dangerous and no matter what his prior record was he deserved a LONG suspension...

He then Says that Rugby has a better system and is more of a mans game, because George Gregan only got 1 week... Rugbys System is flawed, Gregan should have got the same punishment..

Crocker wake up champ, had it been you or a melbourne storm team-mate on the end of that tackle you would have been calling for a long suspension... Pull your head in you fool...

Oh BTW enjoy your holiday...

settle...

he obviously shouldnt have said those things, but his tackle was bad he deserved 9 weeks, i say let him serve the penalty and get over it...

Scott Hill can now get his spot back in the starting 13. A few reshuffles and he can play at lock, or he can be on the bench and can play there.

No im sick of this, every time rep footy comes around this issue comes up.. Whether its International, or State of Origin..

These players commit the crime so do the time.. They Know the consequences...

Scott Hill back.

Should be a great game between Melbourne and North Qld - 1 v 2 against a team that is clearly can be tough to beat against a team who is also hard to beat up in Townsville and Melbourne have copped well when they lost Hill and Slater, although with Crocker gone it might be a big blow, and some players (Melbourne that is)are backing up from the City-Country game in Dubbo and given that they won the previous match pretty easily I would have to tip the Cowboys but just.

Having said Melbourne can cop well without having their star players.

Why do so many women loves the broncos? They stay on top for ages and then come second.

Why do rabbitohs fans carry lights around with them? Because they lose all their matches.

What do Dragons five-eighth Trent Barrett and a tampon have in common? They're both in for one week then out for three.

2 blokes are walking through a cemetry when they come across a tombstone that reads: "Here lies John Smith, a good man and a Roosters fan." One man turns to the other and asks: "When the hell did they start putting 2 people in 1 grave?".
