He's been good all season in my opinion and at least deserves a run in City-Country.broncoman said:maybe selectors gave Sharks officials a call and they said he would be out, thats what happened with Bailey for the test match, they didnt even bother to name him...
in all honesty though Dykes has been good for 3 weeks, im not sure it can guarantee you a rep jersey...
Both states still have a city v country match, however the reason why the NSW one is so prominent is becauase there are so many NSW players playing in the NRL which is the old NSWRL competition. Most of the 'best' Qld players play in the NRL and as there isn't that many Qlders going around the NRL compared to NSWelshman there is no real need for a City v Country of Qld NRL representitives and the Qld side is picked from players in the NRL, however the QRL still do have a city v country for Queensland cup players.BoyBrumby said:It's "question from largely clueless Pom" time:
Why is NSW's city/country a big (well biggish) deal, but not so for QLD?
He's been injured. Never the same again sort of injured. He's still decent, but now just a financial burden. We could use his 20/20 spot on someone who brings something new to the club.Blewy said:I used to rate Sculthorpe, but that was a few years back and i haven't seen him for a while...
Why? Burpey admitted to me on msn that Gasnier's nowhere near as effective at 5/8. Why compromise a strength when you have Lyon, who's played 5/8 for St Helens once or twice with some reasonable success.chaminda_00 said:With relation to the article Gasiner got more chance of playing 5/8 then Lyon.
Ta. Proper reply appreciated.Mister Wright said:Both states still have a city v country match, however the reason why the NSW one is so prominent is becauase there are so many NSW players playing in the NRL which is the old NSWRL competition. I think with the introduction of a third team to Qld for next season there could well be a need for a Qld city v country game to select teams with more Qld talent running around.

Once or twice only reasonably? Now I really hope it's just a wild rumour.steds said:Why? Burpey admitted to me on msn that Gasnier's nowhere near as effective at 5/8. Why compromise a strength when you have Lyon, who's played 5/8 for St Helens once or twice with some reasonable success.
Pretty good I thought, didn't notice him much which is always a good thing.steds said:Speaking of the Klown, he refereed the ANZAC Test didn't he? How'd he go?
Na it was Klein, the Aussie who's reffereeing in the UK... I thought he went ok...steds said:Speaking of the Klown, he refereed the ANZAC Test didn't he? How'd he go?
You know, the reasonable bit I just put in so people wouldn't think I was blowing his trumpet too much again. He actually won a game at Warrington with his kick in the last minute of the game, which Keiron Cunningham scored from.burkey_1988 said:Once or twice only reasonably? I know. We just call him Klown because he's *****.Blewy said:Na it was Klein
