Great Britain will play New Zealand in a one off test on June 27 at Knowsley Rd St Helens according to BBC text, the NZ team will be chosen from players currently in superleague and will have full test status.

That's a bizarre call. How many British-based players would make a full-strength XVII? Vanikolo (sp?), Hape (maybe) & Jones (and yes I know technically he plays in France)?

Solomona and Lauatiti would be up there. As would Paul Rahihi. It will be a competitive side. You guys should win pretty easily though.

The backline will be ok. How is Meli playing this year? Warriors 02/03 form or Warriors 04/05 form?

The team would look something like this (excuse the spelling)-

1. Motu Tony
2. Meli/Fa'afeli
3. Willie Talau
4. Hape
5. Vainakolo
6. Paul
7. Leulaui/Jones (if fit)
8. Jason Cayless
9. Swain
10. Rauhihi
11. Lauatiti
12. Solamona
13. Swann

Edit - Updated

14 Joe Vagana 15 Paleasina 16 Vinnie Anderson 17 Dave Vaeliki

Extras - Jerry Seu Seu, Alex Chan, Monty Betham, Willie Poaching

Actually is Swain still running round?

Steds would probably be the man to ask, but he looked ok when St Helens dicked us 46-0. Ran in a couple & depressed me no end.

Speaking of Paul(s), I heard a rumour that Henry might be returning to League the other week. He's got one year left on his Gloucester contract, but they're keen to get rid as he's been something of a disappointment. Penrith favourites, what with Elliott off there next year.

It would be good to see him in the NRL. He was a decent league player.

Henry Paul had his chance to come to Australia and play with the Raiders about 6 years ago, i think he made it pretty clear then that he was never coming here to play in the NRL...

with campbell leaving and Priddis only 50/50 to stay they will definately have some room under the cap, they could do with his experience, but in saying that its still a massive gamble imo...

Jeez Souths are crap. I would hate to support them...

That performance brought back memories of 02/03 in terms of the way we were playing. In saying that Souths are horrible and we were still pretty bad. At least we are off the foot of the table :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Personally they should relocate to the Central Coast.

That means Sydney can have 7 teams, Melbourne 1, Queensland 3, ACT 1, CC 1, Newcastle 1, New Zealand 1.

Everybody wins.

Impressively. Strong and quick. Him and Talau have clicked instantly. Dodgy under the high ball, though. He's out for another five weeks with ankle ligament damage, though.

He isn't really the talented one.
