Orford misses, Jarred Mullen catches the ball just in his in goal and ran almost the whole length of the field and got caught 1m short of the Manly try line.

Brian Carney has scored for Newcastle in the of the weirdest try's I have seen. Carney catches an Andrew Johns bomb, he is tackled by a Manly player, except he wasn't held so he got up and ran over the line with the Manly defender still holding him.

Newcastle 25 - Manly 18.

Manly were robbed. I never thought I'd say this, but I feel sorry for them. Yet another poor refereeing display by Hampstead to boot.

Kennedy was unlucky to go to the bin.

Buderus should get a few weeks on the sidelines for that.

How did we lose that OMG! i going to cry, if we get knocked out after that. What a joke! :@

Credit to Mullen though, hopefully he can something special, NSW need someone if Head keeps getting injuried.

Burns and Kennedy should never have gone to the bin. Also, I would have seriously considered sending Buderus off, one of the worst tackles I have seen for quite a while.

How much did the referee and touch-judges suck up to the home crowd!!

One of the most biased displays I've seen from officialdom in quite some time.

Indeed. Manly did well to get within seven points of the Knights considering the penalty count and possession. I can't blame Manly for imploding towards the end, the frustration must have been killing them. Take Kennedy as an example, he never goes off his nut to that extent.

The encapsulation of the farce of it all was when Johns was given a penalty for being 'hit' 'late' after he passed the ball. It was a simultaneous bump to the shoulder - nothing more. But, sure enough, the touch judge runs in and the Ref blows a penalty. 8-) I can cop the Refs having a shocker, or making a bad decision, but this was just plain bias during virtually the whole match. And I don't even really like Manly.

no one said anything when the eagles where lucky when we played them when joey got 2 weeks. manly laid all over the knights in the play the ball all night. 1st half knights made a break and there where stewart and the silly number 4 for the knights and they layed all over quinn, slowed down the play the ball for ages, was definately a sin bin offence but no one went. at the end of the day it all evens out....i dont care we won hahahahaha

Don't worry we won't have to put up with it for much longer, Knights won't go that far on tonight's performance.

And, let's just hope the crowd refing continues this weekend.
