Well that almost finishes off any chances of this innings lasting long. This better be one of those days where Southee's approach comes off or we're not looking at 350.

Good surprise short ball from Hasan Ali, Southee won't be able to get on the front foot that easily.

They showed the list of batters with most runs at the no.9 position, Southee 3rd but averages just 15, compared to Broad (23) and Lee (20). An indication of how much he's underachieved with the bat, he's at least as capable as those 2.

I thought that looked high live. Southee’s a tall man, and back leg or no if it hits him above the pad it’s generally going over.

Will be interesting to see Southee's batting strike rate as captain when it's all said and done, as compared to his strike rate previously. Interesting debate on how he's gone about it before if it ends up a lot lower

Quality bowling from Pakistan bar Abrar and quality batting from Blundell. Nice to see Southee trying to dig in. Batting long as skipper should be a long term goal for him.

I like the NZ tactic to decide Abrar doesn't deserve to exist. Targeting him has kept our innings running along and ensuring Babar needs to waste his pacers energy. Unfortunately Salman rose to the occasion perfectly with his offies.

Your blokes are guaranteed to get more out of this pitch and we're batting last. Also Babar has scored his ton for the series so I'm not sure where the runs will come from.
