It’s crazy to me after 10 years and 90 odd first class games Sodhi has never scored a FC 100. I remember his debut season for ND he must’ve scored 3-4 50’s in his first few games. Maybe he gets his first one today…

Yeah Ish is a very solid lower order batsman. Definitely should have 2-3 FC tons in 90 games.

Feel for the Pakistani bowlers. They look like reasonable players to me but this is a rough introduction for such little experience.

Frustrating because Pakistan have quality players to varying degrees they just refuse to use. Rizwan, Naseem, Hasan Ali, Faheem, Fawad etc. Shaheen being injured is unfortunate but they're pointing the gun at their own foot against a weaker NZ than the 2020-21 series.

Yeah he's injured. Hasan Ali was shite in QeA Trophy but gun in CC Division 1 so I don't know what's up with him. Fawad Alam scored a ton in his last FC match but he had 3 meh tests so they found an excuse to drop him. He would obviously make the batting a lot less soft but alas. Faheem just faded away. He was our best bowler against Oz but has been dicked around for some reason. His last few tests haven't been great but probably worth persisting with. Abbas lost zip after injury and instead of rehabilitating him they decided to dump his altogether. He's been good in FC every opportunity he's had the. Mir Hamza hasn't been terrible. Unlucky with the missed appeals imo. Also worth persisting with.

You have to feel for the Pak seamers, but at the same time all 3 England seamers averaged 20 on these decks against the Pak lineup, and Southee took 3/69. There pacers have been comprehensively outbowled by the tourists.
