**Official** New Zealand v Pakistan in UAE

Taylor in all at sea against new ball shocker.

I wonder if the selectors will ever learn...
He wasn't all at sea, he smacked the first ball he faced for four and then left and dabedSP? the rest before getting out.

Styris out, New Zealand look to be heading towards a pretty big defeat here. Redmond probably won't be able to bat so that leaves Broom as our only "real" batsmen.

I think it's safe to assume Watling's not the type of player you want batting in the middle order in a 20/20 match.

Taylor in completely out of form thus getting out cheaply shocker.

I wonder if scaly will ever learn...
Scaly has a point, some people just aren't cut out for international cricket. Taylor should really retire, for the good of NZ cricket.

I think it shows just how bad I am in the mornings when I took your comment seriously for ten seconds.

I'm assuming Scaly's point is that Taylor should bat around 5 in ODI's & T20's, & if so I do agree. Ideally Taylor's best to come in after 12-13 overs in T20s for the final assault when the balls old IMHO.

That said, he was originally scheduled to bat 4 before Redmond was injured.

Scaly's point is valid, his constant berating of NZ and our players is unnecessary and tiresome though. Especially in the shorter version of the game where we are a pretty decent team.

I'm often sarcastic in my posts. It is a slightly dangerous, but probably reasonable assumption to make, before reading each of my posts, that I'm not an idiot. It is an assumption that many people fail to make, and I'm starting to think that it isn't a coincidence.

He's equally as harsh on England's ODI team when they're losing. But you're right that one does get the impression he supports England first, followed by any team playing NZ

Pakistan indeed a very well rounded team, when it comes to T20..........Nazir flat six over long off was a treat to watch.

Which I don't really have a problem with, but as I said before his constant berating is boring. Perhaps he needs a more enthralling hobby than scrabble.

I think when you start listing your scrabble achievements as your signature on an internet cricket forum it's time to find a new hobby.
Why?

If scrabble is what floats his boat then thats fine with me. Its his signiture, he can do what he likes with it.

I certainly don't think his scrabble enthusiasm has anything to do with NZ cricket, which is what many NZ posters take issue with.

I'm just screwing around really.

If he had another hobby he'd have less time to spend on here posting pointless crap :)

Darts. Reckon he's the type tbh.

He's quite good for England stuff though.
He's pretty good for the New Zealand stuff also tbh, you just have to skip over a few things sometimes.

Anyway I didn't know the second 20/20 game was on so soon after today's game, that's a good thing though, means our player's don't have to spend a few extra day's waiting for some stupid, meaningless match to happen. Wish all 20/20 games were back to back tbh.
