Styris becomes the 2nd man in ODI history after Viv to get a 5 for and score a ton.
I stand corrected on that one. The 3rd umpire can be used to see whether the catch was taken but not whether the batsman hit it. My apologies. But it doesn't change the fact that it was a really bad decision though. The bat and gloves were a long way from his body.benchmark00 said:never been allowed in ODI's

His bowling average is higher than his batting - I'd say he's more a marmite player at the moment.Fiery said:Don't agree. He's a batting allrounder in tests but a true allrounder in ODIs I reckon.
I wouldn't say that it's *that* impressive.Somerset said:Although I admit his record is impressive (91 wickets @ 30.54 before today)
Its easy to say that after you have the luxury of seeing repeated slow-mo replays.... mind you im not sticking up for the decision, it was a bad one, but not the worst i've seenFiery said:I stand corrected on that one. What the hell's a "marmite player"?marc71178 said:His bowling average is higher than his batting - I'd say he's amore a marmite player at the moment.
Why is he?Blaze said:You are as bad as Scaly Piscine
It's not a bad record though. Compared to other New Zealand bowlers, he ranks fairly highly (I know this contradicts my earlier argument).marc71178 said:I wouldn't say that it's *that* impressive.
Could someone please tell me the difference between NZ fans complaing about Australia getting decisions and an Australian fan complaining about NZ getting decisions?Blaze said:Are you actually going to contribute anything remotly constructive to this thread or just chip in every now and then to try and cover up the fact that Australia get the majourity of 50/50 calls.

Now Scallywag and I have never got on very well, but I don't see what he's doing that's wrong here?
And that's funny how exactly?cricket player said:hehe..... people are throwing bottles and mcgrath heheheh
They weren't throwing bottles really, just bottle tops. Was no real chance of causing any harm to McGrath so it was quite funny really.marc71178 said:And that's funny how exactly?
Erm, wasn't it the NZ tail that crumbled at the pressure time?cric_manic said:shows up a few weakneses in the aussies team and shows that they can crumble under pressure
Spoken through Queensland eyes i dare say? lol... The day hopes plays for Asutralia in a ODI will be a sad day for Australian Cricket... Katich has saved Australia on more than a couple of occasions, lets not be too hasty in giving him the flick...Crazy Sam said:i don't think its any surprise that it was australia's two best ODI players, symonds and mcgrath, who rescued Australia. A solid win which hopefully doesn't mask the fact that our middle order is, in general, atrocious. Symonds is in hot form and Martyn isn't too bad (though has failed against NZ the past 4 times) however Katich is rubbish unless he comes in higher, and Clarke's a bit hot-and-cold of late. Let's hope they get Hopes in for katich quick smart.
