and whats more he's been extremely unlucky all summer with umpiring decision and the way his miscues always find the fielders. He also doesn't seem to play and miss, but instead is so unlucky he normally edges straight to the keeper.mavric41 said:From 3 innings, batting at no 8 twice!!
Yep. And how about this...Adamc said:Gilchrist in this series:

Mate, Aussie media and cricket pundits and the cricket hierarchy have worked long and hard (over several years ) to bring about this change in Umpiring behaviour !!zinzan12 said:and whats more he's been extremely unlucky all summer with umpiring decision and the way his miscues always find the fielders. Hopefully for him his luck will turn around on him and umpires won't be so hard on him
The English must be shaking in their boots already with the form Gilchrist, Ponting, Martyn and the bowlers have shown this summer.FaaipDeOiad said:Yep. And how about this...
Gilchrist in the Australian summer since returning from India: 749 runs @ 107.00 with four centuries and three fifites, from 8 tests and 9 innings.
This calendar year as well, he has scored three centuries and a 60 not out from four innings.
Was what I wrote that far from the truth that you knew it was sarcasim then ?JASON said:Mate, Aussie media and cricket pundits and the cricket hierarchy have worked long and hard (over several years ) to bring about this change in Umpiring behaviour !!
Now it has become established Umpiring behaviour in close decisions - the benefit goes in favour of Australia almost all the time.
Likewise when it comes to issues like bad light etc. and other such umpiring calls. You should learn to get used to it without complaining about it !!
Mate you can understand other Umps doing it (for fear of generating adverse media criticism and pressure from ICC hierarchy etc.) , but when your own Billy does it to your own team , you have to wonder don't you ?zinzan12 said:Was what I wrote that far from the truth that you knew it was sarcasim then ?
it cant really be asked enough, can it?Arjun said:When do Styris and Oram return?
I don't read about it in the local papers or TV news. Those who are better informed may know, but will either of them be fit for the SL series? Oram may be out for a lot longer.Nnanden said:it cant really be asked enough, can it?
