you're not an Aussie fan Mr Casson. I dont know who you are a fan of but you are not an Aussie fan, a true one anyway.Mr Casson said:Absolutely.. I don't mind when things like this happen, because it's only good for Aussie fans to have some evidence that it doesn't all go our way.
Just because I don't have tinted spectacles and enjoy a close game of cricket doesn't mean I'm not an Australian fan. You don't have to be blinded by patriotism to enjoy their success.Scallywag said:you're not an Aussie fan Mr Casson. I dont know who you are a fan of but you are not an Aussie fan, a true one anyway.
I consider myself a fan of cricket, and if that means Australia has to get into a scrap and fight it out, then I'm all for it. I don't like Australia losing, but if we have to lose a match to make the series even or interesting, then I don't mind that too much.Scallywag said:you're not an Aussie fan Mr Casson. Ah, just being picky with my choice of words, I see. I'd only seen one replay at that stage so didn't want to sound that confident it was an edge though.Mister Wright said:I wasn't disputing the fact that the Aussies get there fair share of gifts from the umpires (I agree they do), I was only debating the fact that you said it was 'probably' an edge.
I dont mind Aus losing a game but I dont ever wish it to happen.Mister Wright said:I consider myself a fan of cricket, and if that means Australia has to get into a scrap and fight it out, then I'm all for it. Lol, I have to agree. Wasn't the first time Vettori has dismissed Martyn with a shocker either, also one in Melbourne at least. As you say, makes up for all the plumb shouts that were turned down just recently.zinzan12 said:Quite ironic, After all Vettori's close LBW shouts recently being turned down he finally gets one that wasn't out
Not easy to take is it......Now you know how the NZ and Pakistani Fans feel and why we've often refered to bad decisions recently. As i stated earlier IMO Martyn is a of the only Aussie batsmen that seems to get the short-end of the stick when it comes to decisions, Unlike Hayden, Langer and Gilchrist in particularDasa said:Saw a replay of the Martyn dismissal...absolute shocker.
I reckon Steve Waugh used to. Langer, on the other hand...zinzan12 said:Not easy to take is it......Now you know how the NZ and Pakistani Fans feel and why we've often refered to bad decisions recently. Funny how when NZ get a bad decision go their way its just making up for the one that go against them, but when Aus get a bad decision go their way its terrible umpiring.Somerset said:Lol, I have to agree. I sure that comment that was made was purely from a Daniel Vettori point of view. Surely you can't be suggesting Vettori normally gets decisions go his way..Scallywag said:Funny how when NZ get a bad decision go their way its just making up for the one that go against them, but when Aus get a bad decision go their way its terrible umpiring.
Funny lot you Kiwis.
It's not just New Zealand that is often on the end of wrong decisions, it's practically all test playing nations. Still, in this match, Australia have already had one go their way, with Michael Clarke's dismissal of Lou Vincent. Martyn's decision was wrong, I'm not denying that but it's obvious Australia get the majority of 50/50 calls.Scallywag said:Funny how when NZ get a bad decision go their way its just making up for the one that go against them, but when Aus get a bad decision go their way its terrible umpiring.

Don't know that there's been any proof that Clarke's wicket was a bad decision? Or is there?Somerset said:It's not just New Zealand that is often on the end of wrong decisions, it's practically all test playing nations. To be honest I can't really see the point in debating this again though.
Clearly...I take it you didn't see the replay...looked like it would missed another set of stumpsMr Casson said:Don't know that there's been any proof that Clarke's wicket was a bad decision? Or is there?
I saw the replay.. The more I saw it, the more I was pretty sure it would have taken leg. I meant did they track the path of the ball or something? Something more substantial than your opinion, I mean.zinzan12 said:Clearly...I take it you didn't see the replay...looked like it would missed another set of stumps
