G. S. Kohli
International Vice-Captain
3rd game eng/Nz starts early, good for me ( also aus vs Proteas game at 5.30 pm Indian standard time)
4 & 4There's a 4th game?
He is playing for eng so even at 40 plus he hold his place in the team, he should retire by now.All retired while Jimmy still going strong. How many debuted after Jimmy or at least around the same time.
JAMT20Is that have been shown FTA, where the good people of New Zealand can watch them over their breakfast instead of morning cartoons.Surprised about the huge reaction to a few JAMT20Is tbh.
Yeah it's closeish to full strength and it might be a little bit of a tell of deeper problems that already existed, but seriously guys, these games were meant for entertainment, not for any deep analysis. It only matters how NZ play if you're watching the game; I don't think there's anything to take out of it. Whatever your opinion of the state of the team and the squad etc before this series should still be your opinion, good or bad.
The results are meaningless, yes, but the performances are indicative of a greater malaise.Totally, these are some of the most pointless international games played in history, I reckon. I can barely even be bothered looking up the results. World Cup coming up and we're playing T20s.
He's only still got a test career due to a couple of them (BMac & Jeets) though. All retired while Jimmy still going strong. How many debuted after Jimmy or at least around the same time.
Good point...great point. More than enough glucose in the muscles for cash cow meaningless north American leagues, but the reserves are drained and need to be replenished instead of touring Bangladesh for a total of 3 games over 5 days?? Welcome to modern day cricket.Of course there's a 4th game! Whatever would we do without it?
Feeling more and more peeved about this one. It's a long time away from home – they can cope. There's hardly any need for resting otherwise: they've hardly played, apart from county cricket and very important North American T20 leagues, since May. Even then, surely if you want to rest some players it should be for the unimportant England T20Is? It's the ****ing World Cup and they don't care, ffs.
I dunno, I'd rather the guys who are bolted in XI players got more match practice. If we're looking to still lock down spots just over a week before the tournament, that's not an ideal place to be.Re the team for Bangladesh, I don't mind it. Those not selected (apart from Neesham and Chapman awaiting impending births) are certs for the CWC. I guess there are still 3 or 4 debatable selections so this is last chance saloon for them.

Extraordinary phraseglucose in the muscles
World T20 is in June next year (WI and USA).And our spin bowling reserves - eesh, there aren't any.
Haha that was posted off about 2hrs sleep in a pediatric ward (all is fine, incidentally). I'm not sure if that in any mirrors the environment the great man posts fromDid Kippax hack your account?

What seems weird to me is that some of those rested players are playing in this series. Surely T20Is vs England make more sense to take a rest from than ODIs in Bangladesh right before an ODI World Cup in India.Feeling more and more peeved about this one.
