santa is bits and pieces at test level in nz conditions but i do enjoy seeing those nerdy glasses and newborn foal legs batting.

Very mixed day for NZ and could have done with more from the three dismissed after getting a start, but good to see Taylor producing a fighting knock in the subcontinent give his last couple of tours to India and the UAE.

That was one heck of a slider from Akhila D. Spun hard and batsman see the revs on the ball, hits the shine and keeps low and goes quick. Watling misjudged the length a bit, but would have layed bat on ball if itwas an off break.

It's a cruel joke the SL selectors have to be playing, at this point.

I'm surprised Andrew Fidel Fernando hasn't written a funny article on it yet.

Game interestingly poised. Weather looks like they should get most of the days play on day 2.

So dependent on Ross. If he can drag us up to 300 I think we’ve got a good score if we bowl well. This pitch is going to really dry out. The way the wind was blowing... geeeeee. And turn from the first session.

It’s basically Killer vs The Boss at the moment. Gee they ran scared as soon as he started showing #intent
