Slightly surprised it was 3 reds in the end as it looked like it was turning quite a bit. But that ought to guarantee a big first innings lead now.

Did we even play any away series after losing to England at home? I seem to recall straightaway playing against Australia at home next season being the next set of tests we played.
If you mean the 2012 series, yes there was the Australia series 4-0 after that, and then a long break followed by Sachin’s farewell and almost 2 years of away tours, to as many as 6 countries!

Akash definitely had no interest in batting for Washy there. To be fair he did get out playing a defensive shot anyway.

Missed his length too often, worrying signs for Patel. Needs a good second innings performance. Didn’t expect him to get this comprehensively outbowled by Santner .

Both Kohli and Rohit have made an absolute dog's breakfast of this Indian team. Rohit has somehow convinced everyone his aborted innings of 30s and 40s is good enough in all formats as long as it's coming in 20 balls.

Kohli has scammed everyone he's back in form.

Their capitulation on tailor made home tracks in 2023 should have been the obvious tell. The flukey win in T20WC means Kohli and Rohit will plague this team for a while yet.

His trajectory just looks so easy to pick. Just not beating the batsman in the air at all.
