Thing with Santner’s batting is (at least from a viewers perspective) it looks too easy for bowlers to work him out. Bowl the right areas and build pressure and he succumbs more quickly than most. It’s a shame given his batting ability.

Good thing from NZ pov is that guys like Southee could finally get the sack after a massive defeat like this.
But, they won't. And that's the problem, which will be around until they bin the coach. Who they keep giving new contracts.
Depends how many defeats like this stack up I guess. No place to hide playing three tests in India next.

Though the regular public and media don't pay much attention unless it's the home summer, admittedly.
