That tendency of his to play well outside his front pad is making him look like a walking wicket. Not sure if it's a case of bowlers have identified and targeted a weakness or just an extended purple patch running out. Probably a bit of both.
Had shingles in Bangladesh last year too.

NZ aren’t winning this without one big partnership, and the likely candidates are all back in the shed.

That said I don’t think it’s an unplayable surface where 275 is out of reach, but your best players have to stand up. One solid stand like Karunaratne- Chandimal on day 3 is the way to fo it.

Our spinners need to think about the line they're bowling to LHBs. Jayasuriya is too legside and Mendis is sometimes too wide of off.
