Congratulations to Stephen Fleming, Jacques Kallis and Shaun Pollock on their 100th Test.

This must be unique in itself for a test to have 3 cricketers playing their 100th Test at the same time.
Yep. All three have had magnificent careers.
I think the only other time more than 1 has played in their hundredth match together was with Atherton and Stewart.

Indeed - previous most was 2 (Stewart and Atherton)

A laser force field around the stumps wouldn't prevent Gibbs from getting bowled these days.

jeez that first session was hard to watch. The crowd is dead. Well played SA. We are horrible without Bondy.

Martin is too one-dimensional. He's bowled plenty of balls that have gone past Smith's outside edge or squared him up, but he's not going to get his wicket unless he can bring one back into him for the lbw. Failing that, I wouldn't actually mind him trying to bowl Smith around his legs. If he's getting a lot of outswing, and Smith is moving way across the stumps, then he should occasionally throw one in at the base of leg stump. He's got him like that before, and I think that he could possibly do it again.

Aye, me too. :( I don't think I've ever seen him play a test to this day, because he's injured every time they show them in the UK!

South Africa did well to lose just one wicket. Ntini and Pollock would have been far more effective had S.A bowled first and Bond would have been a real handful with the variable bounce had he played. I just hope Bond is right for the 2nd test and pray he doesn't break his leg while brushing his teeth.

I remember.

First ball in the first innings in Auckland.

Great moment that....

And then backs it up with a short one which Prince manages to guide straight to Scott Styris at second slip.

Well Mills has taken 3 wickets now... that's great work considering whose shoes he is attempting to fill.

Hate to say it but the South African TV coverage is a joke. No technical graphics, an annoying buzzing sound that comes through the mic and once again they have unleashed that women commentator on us
