Was a great little game that. Fleming (I think?) so nearly got to Boje there. Nel & Langeveldt with one to win might've been quite fun.

Pretty ordinary last couple of overs from Bond. Didn't quite get his length right.

NZ should have got 10 more runs when batting..
Poor ground fielding cost us 5 - 10 runs, and too many dropped catch.
Need to practice our catching, it cost us the match.

We can laugh a bit now looking back but 92,96 (The loss to Windies after a very good round robin), 99 and 2003 are still damn painful for any South African fan. Only we condemned species can understand this.

Although the 1999 WC was quite a choke, I found 2003 more amusing, because they so royally screwed it up with the D/L. Boucher who needed a single off the last ball and just blocked it too, which is good because I don't like him.

OK for me where we lost the game was at the coin toss. We are a much, much better side when we chase. We always lose our way batting first and choke at the death with our bowling.

Oh well, SA won the first ODI in the last series and we went on to win the next 5 in a row so hopefully the same thing happens this time.
