It isn't a limit, it is a frame of reference.
Yeah I worded that wrongly, but why use 5000 as a frame of reference when the dude is pretty much guaranteed to score more?

I guess it's irrelevant anyways. Another series in Australia should see him cross 5000 and the 50 average.

Because it was an illustration of how far off the pace he is at the moment. He has the ability to average 50, without question but he hasn't shown the consistent season after season of scoring you need to do so.

yeah, Williamson hasn't looked like getting out. Latham a little more shakey but still impressive

I have bets on both of them to top score, Latham is paying $7 and KW only $3.75 so it's obvious who I want to kick on and go big but tbh as long as both are there making big runs there's a good chance I profit!

India in Having a Whinge When Things Aren't Going Their Way shocker.

Expecting a walk off if it continues. They'd threaten to pack up and go home, but that would be awkward.

Latham-William partnership must've been good to watch?

Nice scorecard to see.
Latham started slow and a teensy bit shaky, batted well and then looked tired when he hit 40 or so and was very shaky. Looked like he was cramping up a little. Think he'd have welcomed the rain delay.

It was a pretty sweet partnership.

Kane def looked like getting out. Ashwin had his number for a couple of overs near the end.

Then I seem to remember him edging a ball to the keeper which should have been given.

He played well but wasn't bullet proof.

The edge probably wouldn't have been given if reviewed on DRS, the snicko thing didn't register the sound. I reckon he hit it though.

KW only looked unsettled vs. the odd delivery that spat like a cobra and would have trouble any bat to be fair.. He looked utterly at ease against everything else.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
There are few things sweeter than watching Williamson and Latham bat together. Like one batsman playing but mirrored.

Surprised they've been in so many century stands.
