Disappointing to see Latham fall between 40 and 60 again, but that was great bowling.

A horse called Ronchi scored an unexpected win here at Ellerslie this afternoon. I hope that bodes well for his namesake.

Ugh. Taylor on the straight ball from the left arm spinner, always a problem. Could easily have slid down leg - harsh decision, though regardless I don't think we'll see runs from Taylor until he decides **** it, I'm just going to attack. As per his last two centuries in Asia.

Could have? Hit Taylor about line of leg, not much spin ...

Fleming was very polite on commentary ... "had a hint of leg side about it" ... "difficult [for the ump] when some are spinning and some are sliding on" .... after the earlier commentator said "smashing into middle and leg".

But hey, no DRS, now it's 1-1.

We at least don't have to worry about Southee slogging a few to give NZ a fighting chance if the others fail.

Good observation from Fleming that Latham probably would've gotten some bat on that if he hadn't clipped his foot on the way through.

And that's the match.
