Re Williamson v Kohli, do you think Kohli will average 50 in tests before KW does so in odis? Or will neither reach the mark?
Kohli will be lucky to average 45 in tests.

Especially when he flops every time Anushka's visage gets displayed on the big screen.

Could work in NZ's favour going off for rain. Both batsmen were looking tired in that heat and the moisture on the pitch might slow the deterioration a little.

blocky has a blog

Numbers Game: Why Ross Taylor needs to step up | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

if you exclude all of taylors good scores against good teams and the first five years of his career, he has no good scores against good teams in the last four years of his career

blog doesn't mention whether his ton in india last time round was minnow bashing or not.
Point stands that aside from his 290 against Aus he really hasn't scored many runs against the top teams in recent years. Having said that he was unlucky in South Africa being run out and then getting a grubber. We'll see how he goes in India. Tomorrow is going to be interesting.

I think Williamson might very well do it. When you think how flat the most wickets are in ODI's these days and the way NZ approach their batting, KW can score at a SR of around 90 without taking undue risks and can look to bat through NZ's innings. Would need to average 55+ for 2-3 years to go close.

I think he might do it too, but there are only 5 months left in KiwiVictor's KW av watch

so I don't think that will be achieved by Feb 2017

Yeah too much to do by Feb 17. Interesting to see I didn't think he would in ODIs early 2015

Scored a ton last time he played in the UAE
Scored a ton last time he played in India
Scored a ton last time he played in Australia

That's the top 3 teams in test cricket.

He could do it, but would need a god like year. For reference to reach average of 50 before he hits 5000 runs he needs to score 1746 runs at 75.9
