A home Test against Pakistan might be a better option IMO. Or perhaps let him focus on just the one format until after the World Cup.

I think he will take just as many wickets as Jeets would. That said I would not play 5 bowlers anyway - would use Ryder and Williamson as our 5th and hence would not have room for two specialist spinners.

McCullum wouldn't take as many wickets as Patel because Patel is the better bowler with the better array of deliveries for test cricket.

NcCullum certainly bowls a lot of quicker balls in limited overs cricket (who doesn't) but his stock ball is actually strikingly slow, often in the 70s.

I tend to call NcCullum a dart bowler to imply he is suited entirely to restricting scoring rates and gets no turn not really trying to describe him in great detail, just insulting his first class ability.
