*Official* New Zealand in India 2010

Mr. Glass
Would have Ashwin over both. Not a big hitter but a bowler who is loads better than both of them in one day cricket.

Virat Kohli goes after a fine innings. How much more can India get here ? I reckon New Zealand would back themselves to chase any score under three hundred.

Probably a better death bowler than anything with his ability to reverse it and move it away from the right hander going around the wicket.

I don't understand why W.Saha was picked over Dinesh Karthik. The latter played a brilliant knock in the Asia Cup final.

As I type, R.Ashwin is out!

Yeah, I know. I'm not disputing the fact that Uthappa is a better batsman than Pathan, but I don't think the selectors are either. He's been picked also to fill in most of the fifth bowler's overs with those disgracefully innocuous straight breaks he bowls. Not saying I agree with it, but that'll be the rationale. Doesn't matter how much better a batsman Uthappa is than him; he won't be selected as an allrounder if he can't bowl. Or at least "bowl", like Yusuf.
Actually he can bowl YouTube - India vs Pakistan Bowl Out :p

honestly though I'd still much rather have a proper # 7 who can play the finisher's role properly. That's one thing I've always hated. India always stock up on batsman to make up for the ****ty bowling but they don't realize it doesn't work like that. Finishing an innings is not something any batsman can do. Not to mention Uthappa is a way better fielder and can keep in case Dhoni gets injured.

The current collapse just proves my point. Are we really expecting guys like Ashwin to help us hit quickfire 30-40's in crunch situations

Ugh, we're going to end up with a below par score here. On the other hand, it will be interesting to see how our bowlers go about defending a total that isn't comfortable for us, yet isn't a gimme for the Kiwis at the same time.

Virat Kohli (c)
Meh who cares about the result. Kohli tonned up.

If we happen to win as well that's a bonus.

Said the same thing in the match vs. Aust and we won, so maybe it'll just happen again
