I still can't figure out why he's behind Raina at the very least tbh, he looks to be the better batsmen of the two (the most well rounded anyway) and he has a much better domestic record.
awta, Raina should be below many others. Probably his good show in the ODIs. Can't think of any other reason.

Reckon Yusuf's only ahead of Uthappa based on that slow medium crap he bowls.
Yeah but Uthappa isn't as limited as Yusuf as a batsman. Uthappa can actually pull properly. All Pathan does is cream spinners (which aren't usually on from overs 40-50 when he will come on) and just try to pick the ball of a length and hope it ends up in the stands against the fast bowlers. Uthappa actually has a history of playing good knocks in high scoring run chases. And I mean India already have Sehwag / Raina / Yuvi to fill in as part timers.

tbf, Vijay has done well in the absence of Gambhir, so he should be above all in the pecking order.

Yusuf can slog alright, and is supposed to be an allrounder :P
I meant purely in terms of who is the better batsman. Vijay definitely deserves his chances. He's done well.

I really do like the look of Virat Kohli from the little I've seen of him, he looks a class above some of the other younger batsmen that have come into this Indian team over the past 18 months or so.

I can't imagine he'll be too far away from a test debut in the near future.
Agree entirely

Kohli's a gun. Will be playing tests soon don't worry. Pujara deservedly ahead right now, but Kohli is just so good it won't take too long for him to break through.
Candidate for captaincy after Dhoni retires imo.

Yeah, I know. I'm not disputing the fact that Uthappa is a better batsman than Pathan, but I don't think the selectors are either. He's been picked also to fill in most of the fifth bowler's overs with those disgracefully innocuous straight breaks he bowls. Not saying I agree with it, but that'll be the rationale. Doesn't matter how much better a batsman Uthappa is than him; he won't be selected as an allrounder if he can't bowl. Or at least "bowl", like Yusuf.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS

Can't believe Neo Cricket cut away to an ad when he hit that shot. Worst coverage I have ever seen.

EVER!

What a ****ing joke of a team, Ojha(********) shouldn't be playing tests but ODIs. The selectors have got everything backwards.
