And we're now treated to the live action from Regents Park where the exact same light has not stopped play...
same thing happened last year when I went to see them play the WI last year, the fact that the game was pretty much called off when I could see the detail on peoples clothing sat on the other side of the ground from me really annoyed me, bad light = worst thing in cricket tbh, even worse than rain.

Oh, bad light's infinitely more annoying than rain.

Sooner we get pink balls and floodlights at all grounds the better, then that'll be the end of bad light stopping play.

This might be a *cue him edging one to slip* but this is the most assured I've seen Strauss look against the new-ball since 2004/05.

The abysmal use of it from Mills and Martin has helped, obviously, though. Get Southee on FFS.

Or, alternatively, get off for the light. :wallbash:

Sure about that?

Well, much as things can change, they haven't looked like getting one so far. There's been no more than a couple of edges, both of which went straight to ground, and barely so much as a genuine play-and-miss.

The bowling has by-and-large been far, far, far too short.

Look very assured Strauss and Cook, looked to rotate the strike whenever possible and put away the bad ones, which there hasn't been too many of, yet not too many threatening ones either.

England need to get a move on if they're to win this match imo, lots of time lost already, and lets face it there are bound to me more stoppages over the next few days, NZ will be pretty content with the way its looking at the moment I'd have thought.

Well the forecast tomorrow is shocking too apparently. I guess we're going to have to write this one off, unfortunately.
