Commentators just said first time NZ got over 300 three times in a row
ECB tweeted that England have scored 300 in their last three innings for the first time ever as well.Commentators just said first time NZ got over 300 three times in a row
Which may well have been the plan. tbf we all knew that the rest of England's bowlers have been execrable today apart from Finn and Wood, so seeing them off wasn't the worst idea.Elliott may have batted like a chump to begin with, and prevented KW from going big. But by not getting during those powerplay overs he did manage to keep the lower-middle order from being exposed to Finn/Wood (which was probably England's best chance of restricting NZ). Gotta love how he's somehow pulled through for NZ here.
It might end up being a close match as you don't have Boult and Anderson. If santner had not flat batted Stokes, there were a lot more runs there. Oh well. Should be defendable.
Uhmm. Giving KW the strike is always a good idea. Always.Which may well have been the plan. tbf we all knew that the rest of England's bowlers have been execrable today apart from Finn and Wood, so seeing them off wasn't the worst idea.
Milne and Boult are huge losses. Anderson would be hit for more than those 2.It might end up being a close match as you don't have Boult and Anderson.
I really would not judge anything from getting southee out slogging in the last over.Just gonna say I don't mind the idea of Rashid at the death. Would've worked if the seamers had got Santner out.
Yes, there is that.Uhmm. Giving KW the strike is always a good idea. Always.
It often swings at Trent bridge, so Southee may well be a handful. Is 349 enough hmmmmmmm
