What are you basing that on?
Basing it on the fact that Lee has as good a record, over double the amount of games. Also the fact that we turn to Lee if we need something to happen because he's quite simply our best bowler. I'm not discrediting Brackens record immediately, because it's nothing short of sensational, I just simply think Lee is better with the white ball in hand (and red ball, but that's a different matter).

I personally rate Lee as a better ODI bowler than McGrath was (marginally though), so it's not something I've just said for the sake of it.

G'day boys and girls. Well it's summer time again so I thought i'd stick my neck in here to see what;s been going on. I currently work for Radio Sport over here in Auckland so i've been fortunate to be speaking to some of the Black Caps on the phone namely Mills and How and yep they're a confident ODI side but the reality is that this team cannot handle quick fast bowling and I don't think it's gonna change in this series.
yay great to see you back for the summer!!! sounds like a good job

Awesome. Was hoping that'd be the line-up.
Feeling for Johnson, he was arguably our best bowler in the last ODI series we played, and is now dropped... Still, quality line-up, makes no difference which 1 of Tait or Johnson plays afaic.

Just wondering your basis for it. Bracken's average is around 0.8 lower than Lee, though that might change after this game. :p

Lee has given a lot of matches away IMO. So many times where he's bowled like a moron. Bracken however, rarely ends it with bad figures. When everyone else has been hammered, he's often the one bloke who's credited himself. Same thing happened in his last OD Match against Tassie. Bowler for all conditions.

But yes, fair arguement either way. Hope both of them bowl well with the new cherry right now. :)

Andrew Alderson is a freak when it comes to cricket, that man knows everything!

Vincent's confidence is completely shot right now.

To be honest i'd have been tempted to throw How in as opener and give Hopkins a slot in the middle order.

Had no idea of the 4th ball of the over either. Seems awfully out of touch.

On the current bane of form I reckon that Vincent will be out within the first 5 overs. Will be happy if that's not the case though.

I don't think Wad's will ever retire! haha. It's a good chance for Andrew though. I'm not sure whether my career in radio will stay in sports/talkback..but it's good fun and you get to meet and talk to alot of well known sporting people.

Would be nice to see a New Zealander actually get some bat on ball when a Free Hit is offered. But you can't fault Lee for an excellent line and length.

Worst no-ball call! What the puss?! Charged AND hit on the thigh. Far out.

Toblerowned by the ump.
