What the **** is going on with that HRud runout? Slide your bat son!
Jaysus, I missed that, I only watched from near the start of the collapse onwards.

That's 4 out of the top 6 with weak dismissals, actually.

Otago: Played 4, lost 4. Batting bonus points = 1

1 out of 16 potential batting bonus points so far, CD have 11 out of 16.

Unfortunately when you do what Auckland does, and pick a whole batting unit of middle order players, there's 1 or 2 who are going to get found out. That's been Finn all season, and will be Beghin as well if they leave him up there. They seem to have lost all faith in Guptill-Bunce.
Yeah was Guptill-Bunce playing on almost every dismissal at the start of the year something he just can't shake off? I'm a huge fan of Graeme, great, great guy, was in the side in his debut season here for Shore, but he's no chance opening against a red ball, far too loose to be a long term option.

Super smash is nearly there... Wellington Firebirds and North Districts Knights squads announced.

Knights looking quite strong. Brownlie, Bocock, Devcich, Flynn, Gibson, Hampton, Kuggs, Mitchell, Randell, Santner, Seifert and Ish. That is a serious side I reckon. No overseas sign up for NDs?

Firebirds squad - Bennett, Blundell, Bracewell, Conway, Hose, Neesham, Newton, Nofal, Patel, Pollard, Sears and Woodcock.

Just one new face in Firebirds. IDK about Hose. Pretty sure there must be enough players in Wellington to stack up to someone like Hose. Would have rather loved to see Fletcher, Ravindra or anyone. If Firebirds need to get bums in the seat they have pick couple of locals I feel. I'm personally looking forward to Neesham, Blundell and Sears. Lot of left handers in the side so we should be able to handle Santner and Ish.

They say Troy Johnson's making the trip. That Twitter graphic they put out wasn't the smartest, when they're in fact taking 13 and they had no pic of one of them.

T20 champions to get the party started - Cricket Wellington

Edgar has continued the home-grown theme, selecting youngster Ben Sears and bolter Troy Johnson in his thirteen-man squad for their T20 opener.

Sears showcased some blistering spells of fast-bowling throughout the Ford Trophy campaign and Johnson has been rewarded for his strong form after starring in the provincial A quadrangular T20 tournament in Taupo last weekend, where he averaged 118 over just four matches.

That's awesome, good to set Troy Johnson. His efforts didn't go unrewarded. Kelly he'll not play the first one but will make the second.

Too many 15+ runs over conceeded by firebirds. I can think of at least 4 such overs. Too many soft dismissals when firebirds batted. Overall good game of cricket, lots of runs. Brownlie was in awesome touch, timed the ball beautifully. ND looks a very good unit. Mitchell bowled extremely well, bowled only couple of overs but hit a lot of yorkers.

He's absolutely atrocious ... yells all the time and never shuts up!!! He feels the need to describe every single thing that happens, I can't take anymore.

Yay Bracewell. Scored 21 though so get him back in the BlackCaps

Some good highlights from Seifert, Tickner, Bruce, Rance and Santner though, all good to see.
