Whoa, "that's Botham-esque" from TMS, awesome hitting from the big man. What a performance....

Of course - maybe we could do with a dose of Aussie ne'er say die.

Pietersen's got it - and how. He reminds me of Klusener in his heyday, only with about ten percent more power. Truly awesome hitting.
Difference between rational analysis and ne'er say die - I've always believed!

Klusener was never a specialist batsman despite his awesme hits in the end during a period unlike Pieterson too.

Nice work from Gilchrist, hopefully it's out... gone I think, KP will have to dominate the strike now.

I think Eddie didn't mean it the way you interpreted.

Jaws music plays.... SOLANKI IS GONE!

All up to Pietersen to take them home, but still plenty of wickets in hand, but no more batsmen.

How good would it be to see Darren Gough (in his pumped up state of mind) wallop the winning runs?

This is so tight...

Solanki gone! Come on boys, we can do this...

What amazing self belief from Pietersen though. I sure hope he doesn't play the test series.

I was thinking much the same thing.

What an effort from Gilchrist, Aussies will be trying to freeze KP of the strike now. Geez, this is gonna be good. Just stay for a few overs with him, Goughie, and the game will be won at this rate. Could Harmison be the hero? :D

EDIT: make that Lewis.

England still favourites in my mind, all Lewis/Gough/Harmison have to do is knock singles around and let KP hit boundaries. Need to try to bowl England out I think, if they bat 50 they'll win.

Eddie clearly stated hitting power at the finish of a game so nothing really to interpret on that.
Oh, so you were just stating the known fact that he wasn't a specialist batsman? :-O
