More, how is he coming in so low.tooextracool said:my thoughts exactly, how in the blue hell could batty and kabir ali have batted below him?
Warne, Crawley, Udal, Solanki, McMillan and Lewis - i count him as an international for these purposes as he's in the England squad.marc71178 said:Who's the 6th?
Nah i was serious....King_Ponting said:WTF? Am i picking up a hint of sarcasm?
There's none so stubborn as those that cannot see the nose in front of their face, to mix metaphors, but you know what I mean. It's similar mentality to the shopkeeper who, when asked for a particular item, replies "You must be the hundredth person I've told today - there's not much call for it around here!"aussie said:i hope england come to their senses soon a realise that they shouldn't have Jones opening and Collingwood at #7. Its absolute nonsense![]()
ahh....there's no fun beating a team like Bangladesh. everyone knows they're crap.Nnanden said:Excellent to see Hayden and mainly Symonds scoring some. Brilliant that.

The 'experiment' with Jones will only end when they find a get-out clause. As far as Collingwood is concerned, anywhere between 4 and 7, dependent upon circumstances and the situation of the game, is fine by me..
even though the only job hes proven to be capable of doing is finishing an inning?marc71178 said:More, how is he coming in so low.
I wouldn't have thought that would be the order, and i doubt anyone below 4 will get a batBarney Rubble said:England XI for today's game (Bangladesh XI not yet announced):
1. Trescothick
2. Strauss
3. Vaughan
4. Collingwood
5. Flintoff
6. Pietersen
7. G Jones (wk)
8. Solanki
9. Lewis
10.Gough
11. Harmison
Very interesting! Solanki as a specialist bat at no8? Collingwood at 4? Strauss opening? Dramatic changes for England, and an ODI debut for Jon Lewis.
What could be the logic behind these changes? I'm hardly one of the master cricketing brains of this forum, but from what I can see Jones at no7 and Strauss at 2 seems logical, but I thought Pietersen would bat 4, not Colly. And a specialist bat at no8? This is a very novel new tactic from England - what could they be thinking?
The order that Cricinfo provide before the game usually isn't very reliable. Seems like a lot of batting though; GIles must still be injured i'm guessing?Barney Rubble said:England XI for today's game (Bangladesh XI not yet announced):
