Hmm this game is going to be interesting, i fear for Lewis and Collingwood, nothing from the pitch and Hayden and Gilchrist looking hungry - 300 is a minimum here i think
after bangladesh, they'd be pretty p***ed off, too, id imagine.

International Coach
Harmison on, first battle of the summer between the Aussies and him.

Could be quite defining.

Hungry and set, a dangerous combo.

If Hogg isn't a world class spinner why is he regularly being picked in the best OD side in the world?

Buchanan isn't good Mister W. In my opininion he is just a statistical analysor.. If you can provide evidence of why he is a good coach please do so. His record with Australia has been due to the talent of the side, not due to his coaching...

I'm not saying Ponting's captaincy is ordinary simply because of yesterday's performance, rather his efforts as leader the whole time. He doens't have the same temperament or flair as Taylor and Border, or the same mental strength and belief in his decisions as Waugh.
probably because they see some value in his ability in the ODI side which i see has well. Come on mate dont go all critising or questioning Buchanan's coaching ability after yesterdays shocker. I would have loved to hear your comments when australia were winning 16 test matches in a row.

give it up. australia lost to bangladesh. that's it. the next match is being played, so why don't you focus on that instead

Spot on. Think Vaughan & maybe even KP will be called into action at some point.

what!?? katich out for watson!? that's just stupid. i can understand where they're going with the more options in the bowling, but katich can roll his arm over as well
Your forgetting that Watson is a batsman who can bowl, whereas Katich is a batsman who thinks he can bowl. Watson is a better fielder and can bat just as well as Katich in a one day game.

Andrew Symonds immediate future in cricket is in serious jeopardy one would think.
Ponting's after-match comments clearly showed he was more than just angry & I would imagine the rest of the team felt the same way.

It's doubtful that he'll be selected for the rest of this series unless there are injuries.
no no the situation isn' that bad for Symon, he has just been suspened for 2 games he will be back for Bangladesh on Tuesday

Another good over from Goughie. Nice to see that even in his dotage he's still sharp enough for Hayden not be able to take liberties.

I am concerned about the 20 overs we're gonna have to cobble tog from outside of Harmy, Goughie & Fred tho. Could be a slaughter.

Andrew Symonds... has been suspended for two matches, and fined his fee for the same, after he was found to have breached team rules by drinking and staying out late on the eve of the game against Bangladesh. At the toss, Ricky Ponting had said that Symonds had the flu, but by the close of the Australian innings, it emerged that he had been omitted for disciplinary reasons.

True, but Symo is Ponting's favourite player and i am close to positive that he will want to have him back in the team sooner rather than later
