Do the Aussies think they've lost on wickets remaining?

Cuz it looks like it.
They should retrospectively call that McGrath full toss a no-ball like it should have been and award the game to England...

Absolute rubbish from Lee and McGarth in the last two overs - especially Lee, at least McGarth was trying to bowl yorkers.

it shouldn't have been though, if Giles hadn't advanced down the wicket it would have been below waist height

Lee only bowled one bad ball in his final over, although it did go for a boundary. McGrath's last over was generally poor, at least the first half of it was. Quite unlike him.

Either way, Australia should have won from 5/33, and should have won again with England needing 28 from the last 3 overs. England will be very happy I should think.

do you know what would be great? if they gave the MOM to Hussey and Jones together
i reckon they both should get, i have never felt so much tension before, but a great result for both sets of Fans.

It wasn't called because he was advancing down the pitch, and in a normal stance/position, it wouldn't have been above waist height.

This thread is now the 6th most posted in thread in CC chat history, will it get to no,1 before the end? i think the Ashes thread is pretty certain to get up top later anyway

Any thoughts for MOS?
Symonds for me. He came back very well after his little, er, curfew breaking. Hussey has done v well too.

We've bowled well, but (KP's innings aside & honourable mentions to Colly & Geraint today) no-one has looked comfortable against the Oz bowling.

I'll give you a HOT tip (and a prediction for the game, too) - Australia's bowlers will show these try-hard, brittle panty-waists the meaning of finals pressure and we'll win this game by 34 runs.

And if we lose, you'll never see me in this thread again. :p
I suck.

I was lying about not returning to the thread though.

Im sure they thought Giles was LBW.

It was absolutely plumb but at least the result reinforces a great summer ahead.

We'll go over to the Ashes thread for the NatWest Challenge I guess, so I think the Ashes thread will be the one which breaks the record.
