It angers me greatly to heard someone say 8 test playing nations.

Yeah but then you don't have a Sri Lankan in the side - that's why i suggested warne because we have Hayden already.

Sadly, due to some of the most appaling management I have seen.. There are only eight sides really... You cant avoid that fact...

Yes I can, infact I had to using Sehwag309's structure.

Streak is better than some of the players you mentioned.

Streak is better than who in the list? I could only think of Cairns, who doesn't even come into the equation due to his test retirement.

If it makes you happy then: there are 10 "test playing" nations. But as Langeveldt said, you can't really avoid the fact that there are 8 competitive sides.

Streak is as good as Cairns, if not better.

Would it have hurt you that much to just put:

Zim: Streak

at the end of your list.

Agreed, but neither would get in a World XI.

But Cairns made it through using the criteria.

So to say that Streak cant be included because he played for Zimbabwe, thus making him unworthy, is rediculous.

I'd actually take Fleming, Richardson and even Oram over Cairns in a World XI at the moment.

Nope, he's injured.

In the same way that McGrath isn't really being considered at the present time.

I know Ponting is not an oppener but he is one of the top 4 batsman in the world and should not be left out.

If there's not a space for him, then he should!

I meant I will start with 2 players which I feel should be in the 2 XI's and people can fill out to complete the team. Or make your own (any which way you like)
