Yeah agree with this one. Preventing people from expressing their emotions really makes this game less worth watching. Not to mention that in the heat of the moment, Im sure the majority of bowlers will probably continue to do the same irrespective of the penalties.
I'm all for -

What do send offs achieve? Especially if it's just giving them the bird as Spark suggested it was?

These two batsman are looking quite settled. The leg-side flick last over was dreamy and the kind of shot no Australian batsman is capable of playing. Haddin dead-batted seven or eight similar deliveries into the leg-side.

Because I think it's still a viable alternative to the current "punishment" and deserved more consideration than you were obviously willing to grant it.

Why do you support people acting like dicks? Apart from the obvious?
Because if I didn't you wouldn't be allowed on CW. And the place would thus be poorer for your absence.

It's not an alternative at all. Not a realistic one. If a batsman talks to a bowler, we take five runs off? Where do you want to draw the line?

Don't answer please. The question was rhetorical. My eyes bleeding at what you write isn't.

Johnson's just so infuriating to watch. Looks absolutely awful 90% of the time. He'll castle someone soon, no doubt.
Horrible tonight. Never looked like it really. This is showing the problem with Tait and Johnsok in the same side when neither is on-song.

Jesus Marcus, do you have passion for anything? Achieve in a field where you throw everything, mind, body and soul into it then you might have a different opinion on emotional responses, wha's appropriate, etc.

Quit with the extant examples, T_C.

Looks fairly pedestrian does Watson. No hint of swing.
If Punter was feeling brave he might give Hussey an over.

A gamble, but bet he'll swing it and the batsmen could fancy taking a few liberties. Think Huss is underbowled generally, actually.

As it is Lee looks the only threat out there.

Why not? If that punishment was introduced do you not agree that it would remove send offs from the game? I'd be genuinely surprised if a wicket was ever revoked if the rule was introduced. No player would be stupid enough to do it.

I would think that since Hussey tore his hamstring he might rarely have had a bowl in the nets. Risky move, but agree that something needs to be done because Watson/Johnson/Tait doesn't look the solution.

Look, the stupidity of your position is the presumption it's a problem in the first place, and secondly the fact you've felt fine commenting in what you believe is a sage-like manner on the incident over a page, before revealing you haven't even ****ing well seen it.

So wonderfully disingenuous.

Ah, Burgey in 'labelling an opinion differing to his own as stupid' shock.
The second point would be relevant if we were discussing this incident alone and not the matter of send offs in their entirety.

Oh and just seen the edit, how on earth do I think that I'm commenting in 'a sage-like manner'?

Need to break this partnership quickly...

EDIT: Meh... do we even have a bowling plan or anything, its almost as if we are hoping that Pakistan would self-destruct.

His bowling has looked very soft all World Cup. It appears his focus is shifting more and more towards his batting.
Never looks 100% fit IMO - stiff as a board and it's only rarely that he gets above medium pace
