I have to question the schedule when a top ranked team plays 30 overs of competitive cricket in two weeks - really showing IMO.So meh, isn't it?
Have to question the scheduling slightly to put two fairly obvious mismatchs on at the weekend when more people are likely to be watching and then bury (say) NZ/Pakistan on a Tuesday or England/Windies on a Thursday.
Fair point, my concern is his place in the Test side and maybe he has more to offer in the ODI format, but cannot think he's a better option than Dussey, especially in the more important matches, of which this is not one of them.I would be the first bloke to admit that Smith is a player with immense potential but seriously is a worldcup campaign the place to blood him..?
He has all the tools as a leg-spinner yet for some reason he has been just bowling rollers at the international level, his batting too is atm nowhere near international standard.
So the big question is what exactly is he doing in the team playing ahead of a bloke like Dussey...!?
Should've had a leg slip to Tait, if only to stop his second delivery.About time we had the re-introducion into the attack of Tait. Kenya just ticking along, Tait on to make something happen. Perhaps a couple from Brett Lee aswell from the other end.
Tom Moody rightly, imo, suggesting a slip should be in place, fully agree. Ponting has to get a couple of catchers in with one of his strike bowlers back on.
Well for most of the innings they batted like they were in the nets so it's hardly a surprise. This is bull**** cricket from Australia so far just bowling as if they are bowling in the nets, its not like the result is under any question but surely you need to show a bit more intensity than this.
If you compare Smith and Dussey' stats from the England series you would see Dussey took pretty much the same number of wickets as Smith and to go with that Dussey was our second highest run-scorer in that series. His bowling is probably more likely to take wickets, but Dussey is probably the wiser pick.
A bit moot though as it's not his place that should be first on the line IMO
Interpreting what Clarke wants done when he waves about like that must be a hell of a job for fieldsmen.
