They do have the raw talent. Like the look of Nehemiah Odhiambo, athletic looking guy with a nice smooth action that delivers the ball at a useful pace but doesn't quite have the control.Kenyan bowlers have decent raw skills, but they're sooo directionless and amateurish.
I guess most Indians aren't particularly interested in conversations in restaurants with Michael Clarke.JohnSunCricket:
Nicholas and Chappell should realise their commentary is going out on the world feed - not just for Aussie viewers.
Yes I'd agree with Spark and FaaipDeOiad, it's certainly a bit of both. He hasn't looked in any trouble apart from being defeated by a slower leg cutter earlier on. Was made for him really, when he came in they bowled a number of spin overs at him without any real pressure in the field, allowing him to milk the bowling, typically using his feet, and not looking to play anything too expansive. As his innings has progressed he's become more savage on the numerous loose deliveries he's been fed.Not watching, is clarke really playing well or kenya bowling crap?
It's the standard associate problems really - lack of depth, coaching, and experience. It's what the Irish have over the other associates and the difference is pretty plain to see. They do have the raw talent. They have an enormous advantage in that they have access to a full, high-quality FC system though...It's the standard associate problems really - lack of depth, coaching, and experience. It's what the Irish have over the other associates and the difference is pretty plain to see.
how many does he have?Spark said:Was about to say that Clarke is on track for another WC 90
Pies.
Slightly harsh, IMHO.I guess most Indians aren't particularly interested in conversations in restaurants with Michael Clarke.
Right now, 92. 2 and a half to go.how many does he have?
Yeah true, but given the timing of the tweet and the lengthy conversation about Clarke's image I assume that's what he was referring too.Slightly harsh, IMHO.
Just been talking about the lack of a first class structure in Kenya and not sure yer average ocker in Cronulla would give an arse about that.
Yes definitely mate, it's harnessing those raw attributes into something more substantial, but as you say they have problems in doing so due to a number of factors. Don't know if you've read the interview with Steve Tikolo on Cricinfo, but that gives you a good indication as to why it's so difficult for these players to progress to an acceptable international standard. It's the standard associate problems really - lack of depth, coaching, and experience.
