Analyzing the Australian batting can't help but think that White is like a deer caught between the headlights atm, he is trying to graft his way to some form but his technique doesn't help with that, and when he has tried to play the big shots they too haven't come off for him.

So looking at that the clock is definitely ticking for him with guys like Ferg and Dussey on the bench.

If today's game was all about giving everyone a run then why didn't we give likes of Hastings, Ferg and Paine a game here..?

Not a single yorker or slower ball has been executed well here by the bowlers, being rusty or disinterested is one thing but bowling tripe ball after ball is just not good enough and there is just no excuse for a performance like this.

Hopefully after the game Ponting admits that we were poor today, no point covering up a performance like this.

I really think that both games played today were fixed by ICC!!!

How?

ICC probably instructed Australia and NZ to stretch their games against minnows as much as possible.

They just wanted the 50/50 format to be more entertaining, which would have not been if Aus and NZ borught their A game to bowl out the opposition in less than 30 overs.

Top knock from Obuya. Just couldn't get over the line.

Great effort from Kenya.

A comfortable win for Australia, but looked a little rusty.

Only solace an Aussie fan can take from this game is that we probably won't bowl such tripe in any other game in the rest of the tournament.

Tanmay Mishra is a good player of spin and a decent batsman - not surprising given where he's from. I'm surprised he didn't try to get into our side (or did he?).

Anyway, I wouldn't read too much into this - as cricinfo calls it - "laborious win". Australia very clearly didn't go all out. If other teams are watching this and feeling happy about it - don't be fooled. They ensured that everyone got to spend some time in the middle. For Australia, this was a bit like an extended net session with fielders. That said, it was still a good performance from Kenya, a massive improvement from some of their earlier matches.

Yeah, one positive that Kenya can take from an otherwise horrendous World Cup campaign. Pity he didn't get a hundred. Even Tanmay Mishra looked set for one before stupidly running himself out.
