The run rate seems to be going down now. After 21 they are 120-3. Good too see some discipline bowling from India
From the 2 Singh's yes, but surely Pathan's bowling was about as funny as a fart in an elevator from an indian point of view?

Clarke is in no danger whatsoever of being dropped from the one day team, never has. Martyn or Hogg will make way for Watson in the best Australian side. 20 overs from Watson, Symonds and Clarke is asking too much and weakening the bowling unnecessarily.

Bye bye Marto.
More so Martyn since you would want to keep Hogg in the side for the world cup, i get a strong feeling by the time world cup beings Australia's best ODI may be this:

Gilchrist
Jaques
Ponting
Watson
Symonds
Clarke
Hussey
Hogg
Lee
Bracken
McGrath

I really think India have got to play 2 out of Kumble, Bhaji and Powar in very ODI game --- spin is India's strength so why not play to it.

I was more thinking about the ashes...Marto's form hasn't been great allround, whilst Clarke has been playing outta his skin in ODI's, and Watson has been since the Pura-Cup final.
I've been pushing that barrow since I signed up at the start of the year ;)

It's important with Clarke to seperate the two forms of the game. Excellent one day batsman, ordinary fc and test batsman.

Agree with Aussie's potential side although I would place Watson at 5 and use him as a floater like we did with Bevan. If we lose two quick wickets slot him in ahead of Symonds, if the third wicket only drops at the ~40th over bump him down behind Clarke and Hussey.

The number of times I`ve posted that side...

How good is it not having Big Trev as the selector? It`s great to see everyone getting a go, even if Jaques is frustrating me. As long as we don`t play Katich, and have some decent 4th/5h/6th bowling options, I don`t mind heaps what the side looks like,

Weather's not looking good, it might start to rain anytime.
Sehwag and Harbhjan are doing a good job.. keeping the run rate down.

Agree Cosgrove seriously needs to call Jenny Craig.
